Hello GBPFF Members,

I hope that all of you had a wonderful holiday season, and your new year is a happy one for all your friends and family.

I would like to start off reminding everyone of the union meeting Wednesday January 7^th.  There will be reports from the committees, updates on talks with other locals, contract updates, station wireless internet update, and a chance for you to ask questions of us. Plus we will be swearing in our newly appointed trustee Todd Madson.

I hope that everyone takes a look at the Bellin Run training that Joel Krueger has put on the web site.  There is a training schedule that everyone can fallow to be prepared for the run in June.  I am hoping that we can get more than 50 members involved in this effort so mark the date on all of your calendars and encourage others to join in.

We will continue to conduct the tel-a-union meetings this year.  All of these meeting will be posted on the training calendar, so check to see when the next one is.

Eboard members will be meeting the third Wednesday of every month starting in January.  The location and time will be given at the union meeting in January.

I would also like to thank Mike Ireland for the time he puts in on the web site.  This site is a great way to get up to date information and that takes some time.  I have asked Mike to start a web site committee these members would be responsible for taking pictures at special events and fires, writing articles, and making sure that the information on this site is current.  This will be a committee of five people including Mike as the chair.  Please let Mike know if you have any interest in this opportunity, Mike and I will meet in two weeks to appoint theses members.

Last but not least don’t forget to be available for the department posting Tuesday January 6^th.  This is a complete department posting so if you can’t make it let me or Assistant Chief Goplin know.
