Hello Local 141 Members,
I would like to thank you for the opportunity to serve as your newly elected President. I am very honored and humbled by the support I received before and after the election.
The first issue I would like to address is the service of 141’s previous President Jay Selissen. In the time that Jay served over the past six years we as a union have been on a rollercoaster ride, Jay worked very hard to always make dictions with all of our best interests in mind. He guided us through the saddest period of our history with the deaths of Lt. Wolff and Eng. Krueger while staying strong. Jay had been there for some very difficult budget times and did the best he could to save our personnel. I hope to use Jay as a resource in the next few years and I am confident he will be there to help from start to finish. Jay, you will always have my respect as a Firefighter, Officer, and friend.
As the new local President my plan is to inject some life and energy back into 141. We have some very difficult times approaching us and we all need to work toward the same goal of making Local 141 stronger and reestablish pride throughout the Green Bay Fire Department. I will be making myself more available than any President of the past and I will try my hardest to answer all of the questions that each of you may have. I have an excitement for this job, and a great executive board with which I can rely on. My promise to you is that I will always make suggestions and decisions that will be best for all members of Green Bay Professional Firefighters Local 141 with a focus on protecting our staffing, keeping our jobs, and expanding our vision for the future.
